A recent Facebook Post from A Mighty Girl, one of my favorite resources for recommended reading for children, noted the passing of Norma Swenson who helped transform women’s healthcare through her work with Our Bodies Ourselves. I read this book in 1976, and it was transformative. Over the years, I gave this book to countless young women in my life as a means of empowering them through health education.
